When I changed the resolution to the highest amount the screen went blank and
then read "can not support video mode" Because of blank screen I cannot
change it back. Tried restarting and going to the F 11 screen but did find
anything there to help. Any ideas?

Try booting to Safe Mode and changing the resolution there and then boot
back in to Normal Mode and you should be able to reset the resolution to
your requirement but don't select an option higher than your card/screen
can support.

To boot to Safe Mode:
Keep tapping either the Ctrl or F8 key as PC is powered up. This should
then load Win Me with a minimal driver set, low resolution and colour
depth and with the words Safe Mode in each corner of the screen.
