desktop I am working with a friend who is using Windows ME. He was running
ScanDisk and touched his mouse while it was in progress. Now, when he boots
up, there is a second Grey colored taskbar at the top of the screen. It shows
all the drives that are in the My Computer window. He can no longer run
ScanDisk. The computer still functions as before, except for this.
Thank You, Nanpat

Your friend as dragged the My Computer icon to the edge of the desktop and
created another toolbar. This can be deleted by right clicking on a grey
part of any toolbar and selecting Toolbars and unchecking My Computer.

The presence of this toolbar has nothing to do with being unable to run
ScanDisk. What problems are you having when trying to run ScanDisk?
