I use Windows Me. I suspect my current video driver is corrupted. Do I
need to uninstall it before I download and reinstall a video driver? Or,
does the new reinstalled video driver automatically replace my old driver?

Jerry,

Personally I always uninstall any existing video drivers before upgrading
or installing a new version. Not knowing the make or model of your video
card I would follow whatever the manufacturer advises on their web site
when you download a new copy.

Operating system? Make and model of your video/graphics adapter? You can
find the latter information from the Device Manager.
